Insulation Removal and R30 Blow-In – Florida 33176 – June 2026

Recently, our team completed a full attic insulation replacement project for a home in Florida 33176. The homeowner contacted us after noticing that the air conditioner seemed to run constantly while several rooms still felt warm, especially during the afternoon. After a thorough attic inspection, we discovered that the existing insulation had deteriorated over time and was no longer providing the thermal protection the home needed.

Compressed Insulation & Inconsistent Coverage

During our inspection, we found that the old insulation had become compacted and unevenly distributed across the attic floor. Several areas had significantly less insulation than recommended, while gaps around framing and utility penetrations allowed heat to enter the living space more easily.

These weak spots reduced the home’s overall energy efficiency, forcing the HVAC system to work harder to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures and increasing monthly utility costs.

Removing the Old Insulation

The first step was a complete removal of the existing insulation using our commercial-grade vacuum system. We carefully extracted every bit of the old material, leaving the attic clean and ready for a fresh installation.

With the insulation removed, our technicians inspected the attic floor, ductwork, and electrical components, clearing away debris and preparing the entire space for the new insulation. Proper preparation ensures the new material performs at its highest efficiency for years to come.

❌Before

Once the attic was fully prepared, we installed a new layer of R-30 blown-in fiberglass insulation using professional blowing equipment. The material was applied evenly across the entire attic floor, filling small gaps and hard-to-reach areas to create a continuous thermal barrier.

Throughout the installation, our team used insulation depth markers to verify that the finished coverage consistently met the required R-30 specification across the entire attic.

The Finished Attic

The completed project transformed the attic with a thick, uniform blanket of fresh insulation from end to end. This new thermal barrier will significantly reduce heat transfer from the roof, helping the home’s air conditioning system operate more efficiently while maintaining a more consistent indoor temperature.

The homeowner can now expect improved comfort, lower cooling costs, and long-lasting energy performance throughout Florida’s hottest months.
